Burning Misery (USA)
10 brutal tracks and over 47 minutes of brutality in your face come from a band named Perishing Mankind. Perishing Mankind was born in 2001 in the land of Austria. Bands of brutal nature have a habit of coming from certain countries that people probably never head of until sickness and metal pour from obscurity. Anyway, Perishing Mankind unleashed a sickening opus in the form of “Wonderland”. “Wonderland” is full of different metal influences and a touch of originality from the band themselves! I can hear black metal, death metal, hardcore metal, metal core, and who knows what else! Perishing Mankind delivered one other full length and a demo before “Wonderland” was released, and I have to say that this album just proves that brutal music can always get even more brutal and still original if played right. Perishing Mankind give the listener an assault of brutal death metal and hardcore mayhem throughout the whole disc. From start to finish “Wonderland” stands beyond what an aggressive influential album can be. Perishing Mankind give me a feeling of early Pantera albums or the band Vio-lence comes to mind as well. There are remnants of melodic-thrash metal on “Wonderland”. Such as the title track shows us. Perishing Mankind’s musical talent and technical originality will get this band on the map and hopefully touring the states by their next release. “Chaos”, “Wonderland”, “Haunted’, and “False Goods” are just a few examples of songs that will show the listener different sets of brutality and groovy melodic taste as the album churns on! If you’re a fan of early Pantera albums, early melodic thrash like Anacrusis or Paradox, and bands like Hatebreed or death metal then check out Perishing Mankind’s newest opus – “Wonderland”. It will kick your fucking ass!
