Perishing Mankind "Fall of men" (2005 -Black Lagoon Records-)
Perishing Mankind are a death metal band from Austria; this guys and one girl (yeah on the drumkit there's a girl and kick very hard, i swear you!!) are definitely on their own style and on their own way, playing this kind of music without try to copy bands like In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Soilwork & company. Perishing Mankind's music sounds totally professional but especially very much heavy, combined by powerful technical riffs on a solid drummin' and low growls. Well Perishing Mankind are on the wave of melodic Swedish metal, so inspired by all the classical death-metal bands, however they try to elaborate the various elements on their point of view, then the result is surely something standard but for luck not another clone-band on the scene. There are also some dark atmospheres, then the compositions get more and more secretly apocalyptic. Compliments of course to Perishing Mankind. I definitely like this music and Perishing Mankind: this is a good album with a good guitar work, if you want to listen fine and especially independent death metal, here it is. Excellent release.

I Perishing Mankind sono una band death-metal proveniente dall'Austria. Questi ragazzi e una ragazza (ebbene si..dietro alla batteria siede una ragazza, e picchia davvero duro!!!!) spaccano di brutto e si dimostrano subito abbastanza personali, senza cercare di copiare a pieno il classico metal di In Flames, Soilwork, Children Of Bodom e compagnia bella. Questa è musica professionale e potente, combinata con riffs tecnici, una base ritmica solida e urlati di una tonalità così bassa che più bassa non si può: si i Perishing Mankind appartengono a quella che definirei "the wave of melodic Swedish metal", quindi ispirati ovviamente alle death-metal bands più classiche e tradizionali che hanno scritto le pagine principali di questo genere musicale in particolare. L'originalità della band sta nel sapere fondere insieme tutte queste influenze in maniera eterogenea ma allo stesso tempo anche personale, quindi i Perishing Mankind cercano di interpretare ed assorbire gli elementi secondo il loro punto di vista, per riproporli secondo la loro visione stilistica e compositiva. Per fortuna non siamo di fronte ad un'altra band "clone". Da segnalare la sparuta presenza di atmosfere timidamente dark. Complimenti ai Perishing Mankind, questo è un album davvero apocalittico...in ambito death metal..si intende...dove della parola "core"...beh, non vi è la minima traccia.
